Academic Stipend: $2,000/per resident per year​ (released in a block sum mid-September)

Step 3 Reimbursement ($895)

Reimbursement for ACLS, BLS, PALS, ATLS

Emergency pay of $450/day for hurricane coverage during JHS emergency period

Option to moonlight in newborn nursery (PGY1/2/3) and NICU (PGY2/3) for $80/hr

28 vacation days per resident per year (4 weeks divided into two 2-week blocks)

• An extra vacation week during PGY1 for a total of 5 weeks vacation​

Committee of Interns and Residents (CIR): resident union which advocates on behalf of the residents regarding salary increases (including convincing Jackson to reimburse for Step 3!), provides conference reimbursement and allows members to become involved in various committees (advocacy, outreach, women in medicine)
