Individualized Curriculum

We pride ourselves in making sure our residents are able to tailor their curriculum to meet their specific career goals. While ensuring all residents meet the ACGME requirements by graduation, we have research electives, away electives and community experiences available. We frequently work with our residents to create electives to meet their needs.

Advocacy
- In collaboration with the pediatric mobile clinic and our school health clinics we provide care to South Florida’s most underserved communities. All residents complete a virtual advocacy project during their PGY-1 and are encouraged and supported to work on completing projects in PGY-2 and PGY-3

Medical Research
- Through the research pathway we offer a structured curriculum with protected time for those especially interested in a career in academic medicine. The journal clubs and research lectures affiliated with this pathway are open to all our residents offering those interested a robust technical framework to complete their own projects.
